ATG Solutions Awarded Position on MDA SHIELD MAC IDIQ Contract
ATG Solutions announced today that it has been awarded a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (MAC IDIQ) contract. This contract directly supports the Golden Dome missile defense initiative by developing and delivering advanced, multi-domain defensive capabilities to protect the United States homeland, deployed forces, allies, and partners from a wide array of modern threats.
ATG Solutions’ selection for this contract is reinforced by the company’s recent Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) achievements, which directly align with the advanced capabilities sought under the SHIELD program.
ATG’s Technology Advancements Strengthen Alignment with SHIELD Priorities
ATG Solutions’ recent SBIR work has produced key technologies that directly support the SHIELD mission. The company developed a next-generation Digital IF modem that integrates digital IF and waveform processing onto a single FPGA card, replacing legacy multi-card systems and enabling a compact, reprogrammable module suited for rapid deployment across multiple platforms.
ATG also created an NFV-based SATCOM architecture that virtualizes modem and network functions, allowing cloud-like reconfiguration, improved resiliency, and lower cost compared to traditional systems. Combined with ATG’s Digital IF digitizer and patented waveform virtualization technology, these advances form a modern, adaptable communications blueprint aligned with the SHIELD program’s emphasis on digital engineering, open architectures, and rapid modernization.
“Being selected for the MDA SHIELD IDIQ is a significant milestone for our team,” said John Sciberras, President of ATG. “Our work in digital IF, waveform virtualization, and network function virtualization positions us to deliver the kind of adaptable, high-performance technologies that the SHIELD program is built to acquire. We’re committed to providing systems that can be fielded quickly, updated easily, and scaled to meet the growing demands of homeland and missile defense.”
ATG Solutions is prepared to support task orders across system modernization, open architecture and resilient networked defense capabilities. The company’s recent SBIR accomplishments demonstrate its ability to deliver practical, innovative solutions that match the urgency of today’s multidomain threat environment.
